We are among the very few technical service providers in China specialising in paper-based packaging and full-lifecycle EU PPWR compliance.

Laboratory Capabilities

VoPake’s core laboratory works closely with the Shanghai Professional Technical Service Platform for Green Packaging. Backed by top-tier research resources, industry standard databases and authoritative technical support, we jointly operate a standardized laboratory specialised in paper packaging. Our focus lies in technical research and practical implementation of EU PPWR compliance for paper-based packaging.

The platform boasts years of experience in the green packaging sector. It actively participates in updates to packaging compliance standards, technical R&D and on-site industry guidance, fully aligning with the complete regulatory framework including CEPI, PTS and PPWR standards of the EU. Supported by the platform, we overcome technical limitations common to ordinary private testing laboratories. We possess dedicated capabilities for standard traceability, technical problem-solving and compliance assessment, enabling us to adapt swiftly to evolving EU regulations on packaging recycling and environmental control.

Our laboratory features a constant temperature and humidity standardized testing environment equipped with a full suite of dedicated testing equipment for paper packaging recyclability, including professional pulp disintegration systems, multi-stage fibre screening equipment and German DOMAS stickies intelligent analysers.

We replicate the actual operating conditions of European waste paper recycling mills on a 1:1 scale and conduct tests strictly in accordance with official EU testing procedures. Our set-up fully meets EU requirements across equipment, environment, procedures and standards.

We currently carry out two core EU-authorised testing programmes:

✅ PTS RH021 Auxiliary Compatibility Test
Screening for adhesives, self-adhesive labels, varnishes, hot stamping foils and other auxiliary materials during pulping, eliminating risks of non-compliant recyclability at source.

✅ Complete CEPI V3 Recyclability Assessment for Finished Products
Testing fibre recovery rates and screen residue indicators for finished cartons, colour boxes, gift boxes and corrugated cases. Test data is recognised by EU authorities and applicable to customer factory audits, customs inspections and brand supplier qualification reviews.
